During our stay at the Hyatt Place Hotel, we had breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. Some Hyatt Place Hotels still offer an included breakfast, which was our experience at the Hyatt Place in Bethlehem, but our research suggests this may be phased out. For families, even though we had to pay, this no-frills option provided unbeatable value, quality food, and the convenience we needed to start our day stress-free.

Pricing: Breakfast buffet costs C$11 per person, an unbeatable value for families.

Offerings: A mix of hot dishes (scrambled eggs, bacon, quiches, hash browns) and cold options (toast, yogurt with dried fruits, hard-boiled eggs).

Food Quality: Fresh and consistently replenished due to high diner volume; exceeded expectations for the price.

Ambiance: Simple, no-frills dining in a separate mezzanine area; seating accommodates large families.

Service: Friendly and helpful staff, though self-serve buffet includes clearing your own dishes.

Family-Friendly: Convenient for varied schedules, stress-free, and ideal for large groups staying at the hotel.

Recommendation: Highly recommended for families seeking an affordable and practical breakfast option with quality food and convenience.

The Offerings

The breakfast buffet, priced at an incredibly reasonable C$11 per person, included a variety of hot and cold dishes. Hot options featured scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and vegetarian or vegetable-and-bacon quiches, while cold offerings included bread, toast, jams, hard-boiled eggs, and yogurt accompanied by a delightful selection of dried fruits. The freshness of the food stood out, as the high volume of diners ensured that dishes were constantly replenished (except the fresh fruit).

The Experience

Located on the mezzanine level in a separate dining area, the restaurant provided a simple and functional seating arrangement. For our family of eight, we were seated at a large dining table in a semi-private section, which was perfect for accommodating everyone comfortably. Although it’s a self-serve buffet, we were greeted warmly at the door and promptly seated. Clearing our own dishes to a cleaning station was a small and understandable trade-off for the affordability of the meal.

Service and Ambiance

The staff, while clearly busy, were friendly, helpful, and attentive when approached. Their efficiency in managing a high volume of diners without compromising on quality or warmth was impressive. The ambiance, while straightforward, was undeniably family-friendly, with many other families dining alongside us.

Value and Recommendation

For the cost of a basic child’s breakfast elsewhere, Hyatt Place offers an all-you-can-eat breakfast for both adults and children that exceeds expectations in quality and variety. This is a stress-free, affordable option that’s especially ideal for families staying at the hotel, as it accommodates varied dining times and larger groups with ease.

Final Thoughts

We highly recommend this breakfast option to families staying at the Hyatt Place Hotel. It’s a practical, convenient, and budget-friendly option that makes breakfast one less thing to worry about during your stay.

[…] Dining at the HotelBreakfast at the hotel was a standout feature, offering exceptional value at C$11 per person for a buffet with a variety of high-quality options. The yogurt and oatmeal station, complete with an array of dried fruits and granola, was a unique and delightful touch. The self-service approach minimized interaction with staff but allowed us to enjoy a leisurely and satisfying meal. You can see our review of the breakfast buffet here. […]
